When we bring to mind, just once

The delight that Baba gives,

O `Tis soft as mother’s clasp;

O `Tis cool as silken moonlight;

O `Tis thrilling, as when Siva within

Dances His Cosmic Play.

When Baba nears a step to us

O `Tis Kailasa calling silver sweet;

O ‘Tis Heaven showering solar rays

O `Tis temple’s open door

Widening and welcoming joy.

O `Tis the Lord calling children Home.

When Baba stands a moment

Before your stricken frame

O `Tis the lunar orb your palm does hold;

O ‘Tis a hundred paradise parks

Scattering beauteous scent

Through a million jasmine jars.

When Baba opens His lips and speaks

O `Tis the lilt of lovely gems of Love

O `Tis the Trumpet blast of Victory

O `Tis the nectar the flute did rain

On cowherds’ ears by Yamuna‘s holy stream

O `Tis melody infilling the core.

Touch The Lotus Feet but faintly

O The vine of Love doth bloom in bunches

Your heart doth feel the ecstasy

Of sacred Alakananda bath

O `Tis a gift of gold, galore

O `Tis Ganga pure from icy skies.

When Mother Sai gifts a lovely smile

O ‘Tis Full Moon all around

O `Tis Prasanthi Nilayam, where you are

In Divine Charm, effulgent, grand;

O `Tis floral shower from the Host of Gods

O `Tis Angel Spring refreshing Earth and Sky.

Facing the oddity of a lifetime and more, humanity is on the brink of an uncertain tomorrow, knowing not the escape route. Surrender is a word ever so huge,
The surest way out is to wholeheartedly seek shelter…
…of unimaginable magnitude,
Times are truly challenging,
We seek Thee,
A Sacred Sprinkling of Thy Grace Divine,
We seek Thy Clemency,
Only You can grant deliverance…
For You are the Eternally Merciful Lifeline,
You are the indefinable effulgence within,
From You we seek forgiveness for the frequent lapses,
And all the indiscipline through lifetimes gone by,
Through a mere glance…
Due to human beings deviation from humanity,
Even animals are facing gross inhuman monstrosity,
India, our Motherland needs You,
You chose her as Your Matrubhoomi,
For Your Advent a myriad times,
Thus India is Your Matrubhoomi too…
Due to their own transgressions,
The human race is facing a perplexing dilemma,
Come now, O! Sai Maa,
And forgive us all and show the way out,
Beyond any doubt, You…are the way out,
You are our Hrudayawasa,

In the dead of that dark-night,

From the sunken depth of slumber deep,

I was jolted and turned on,

Awakened to a flashing stillness…!

Ah! …a momentary ‘I Am!’

Drifting quick into the fleeting next…

I was sucked into a volcanic horror,

A mysterious loop of murky and muddy,

…of attachments, possessiveness and fears,

A lifer i felt here, caught up in bony bars,

Prisoned for a lifetime and beyond…

Sentenced for holding on…

Possessing the ‘me’ and the ‘mine’.

Wriggling the ‘self’ out for a flash…

Catching up with a deep breath next,

I turned on, staring at something eerie within…

A flashing reverie from the hours past,

A thought that hit the bed hours before,

Killingly haunting and hauntingly killing.

Jolting in turbulent dark waters,

Passing through a ‘million-mired-myriads’

I paused first, asking next,

Asking myself a million-dollar-question…

“Am i serious…??? Am i aware…???

That He Is closer than the closest?”

Weighing with traumatic exasperation…

Hoping no stop-gaps…

I went on with my mind-murmur…

Posing an unending ‘grilling’ unto my’own’self.

I said…

“I call Him Beloved Mother Sai!

I call Him The Cosmic Canvas!

I call Him The Source n’ Force!

…And what not…?

I hail Him ‘The Beauty Beyond Compare’,

The Incredible, The Inscrutable, The Indescribable!

My list of adorations goes on…

Yet,

Do i follow my words???

“Am i serious, do i care what i speak?”

How often He called me “Premaswarupulara…”

And my world around “Divyatmaswarupulara…”

Exhibiting ever His Love That Conquers,

To bail me out, ever to set me free…

How often He spelt it out in no uncertain terms…

The Truth Of His True Truth…

That is up for grabs,

For this me and for the world around.

How much…? how much…? and how much…?

How much has He done and is ever doing…?

All with His trade-mark Love, pure and selfless…

His perennial flow of Love In Action!!!

Treating and entreating, musing and amusing,

This ‘me’ and ‘my’ world around…

…With His multi-hued ‘visiting cards’…

Welcoming me with an open invitation…

His Invitation into His ‘ever-mysterious’ glory!

Yet,

“Am i serious… Am i aware…

That He Is closer than the closest?”

Ebbing out in exasperation…

I grilled myself time after time…

Over and over again,

“Am i serious… Am i aware…

That He Is closer than the closest?”

How often i speak about Him…

And the ‘InSaight’ of His message galore…?

His message of ‘Do Not Delay’…

And His message defining an ideal devotee,

The Adarsha Bhakta…

And how often i did it…

About that priceless ‘motherly’ plea?

That single ‘favour’ she has ever asked for?

An ideal Mother’s desperate plea…

Asking this me in her sweetest tone…

‘Would you, sweet child, like this gift from me…?’

Offering Her ‘Infinite Million’!

Her trade-mark LOVE for Beloved Mother Sai!!!

Asking and pleading this me to grow…

In Intense Love for Beloved Mother Sai!

Alas! How often i speak?

…And how seldom i practise???

Having come to this Holiest of the holies…

Sacrosanct Puttaparthi…

The Land That Did Penance…

Having been blessed with The Unfathomable Best,

His Infinitely In-defining Presence…

Am i still running after the low and lousy?

Crying and vying for a petty spoon-full…?

A spoon-fill of coffee powder?

Am i being stupid and nonsensical?

Failing ‘Him’ with my obvious and oblivious?

Knowing Him not…

Despite being ‘so close’…

Seeing Him not…

Despite being ‘so near’…

Dreadfully unaware of…

…Of that Indefinable Presence…

That Is Closer Than The Closest!?!

Now at my wits end, yet ‘Not Out’,

Thus i love to believe in the Now…

For,

“If life is a long day, sunset is far…far away”,

Thus i was reminded, always…always…

Now…

Turning in n’ tuning in…

I affirm aloud… loud n’ clear in the SaiLence of Now that,

He Is… He alone Is…

God Is… Sai Is…who I Am!

Closer than the closest,

Beckoning this little ‘me’ to plunge…

To plunge in, plunging unto Him…

Putting Apart the ‘i’…

To Become n’ Be!

To Become n’ Be!!

To Become n’ Be!!!

Having earned the breather, my life-saver,

I rest in Prasanthi now…

Now…In The Eternal Now!!!

And the writing on my wall…?

The wall that is painted in Red-Hot-Sai-hue…

The writing is clear… clear and distinct,

…And it reads thus:

“Sai Is Closer Than The Closest”

II SAI… IS… I AM II

Covered by a ring of hills…

Standing tall as if,

To protect the precious n’ priceless…

With natives naïve, innocent and god-fearing,

Whose world never crossed their village boundaries…

Puttaparthi, a remote village in Ananthapuram of Andhra Pradesh,

Was once awakened by a Call,

The Call from The Greater Heaven!

For an encore of Ayodhya of the Treta,

To repeat a Mathura of the Dwapara…

The Call to host Him,

To host The Supreme Divine Advent!

The Family was chosen!

The blessed clan of Ratnakaram Raju dynasty!

…And the Mother was picked!

Easwaramma! The ‘Mother Of Easwara!’

And…

Post a parade of happenings mysterious,

…Immaculate conception and many more,

Sans any pretence and pomp n’ show,

When He Willed and thus The Day dawned…

The auspicious day of Karthika Somavara…

He willed It as His Advent Supreme!

And He was ‘born’! …The Beauty O’ Bliss!

The Bundle Of Joy for Mother Easwaramma!

When the time was ripe,

The world and the worldly were in deep slumber…

Yet, the ‘Godly’ were wide awake…

Aware Of the imminent beauty,

The Most Astounding Advent!

Of The King of all kings…

Of The Deva Of all devas…

The Divine Supremo!

Sri Sathya Sai!!!

Knowing thus…

They dashed unto Him daring time and space…

Welcoming The Bundle Of Supreme Bliss!

The Beauty O’ Bliss in His ‘sailent’ majesty…

The Beauty Beyond Compare in His inimitable grandeur!

Sathya – the little Divine!

Cradled in the lap of time…

Yet ‘timeless’ in His True Truth!

Confined in bony bars…

Yet ‘formless’ in His True Self!

He set in motion, prefacing His Mission Divine!

His ‘descending’ drama for human ascension!

Fourteen summers post His Advent,

On the 20th day in the month of October,

…in 1940,

He chose His time and space,

To sing His Mission Statement!

His Song Of Annunciation!

Keeping the blessed folk of Uravakonda to witness!

Enjoining souls countless of His True Truth…

He sung His song of Annunciation…

Manasa Bhajare Guru Charanam…

With this message infinite

He granted the world then the best of His pill…

That remains The Best for eternity…

The Sai-Path for human ascend!

He sung then…

Manasa Bhajare Guru Charanam

Dusthara Bhava Sagara Tharanam!

The Couplet Divine!

Pregnant with the theme ‘liberating’.

…And what of Puttaparthi?

His chosen Land That Did Penance???

Yes…

Puttaparthi of old folklore…

The skeletal oldie of the dim past,

The ’10 minute past Stone Age’ hamlet of Arnold Schulman,

She was never the same again!

She was never… never!

She stands tall n’ vibrant now,

Regally royal, majestic n’ just,

Welcoming all with hands wide open,

Offering her big…

The big hug sans any pre-condition,

Serving man with His SaiLent reminder,

Pointing at him…

Pointing at his mystical reality…

The reality that puts him apart…

Putting Apart his ‘i’…

Asking and pleading him…

Every pilgrim in the ‘Sai-Path’ to Put Apart the ‘i’…

Inviting him to dance in solitude…

Solitude Of Stillness,

By Becoming n’ Being!!!

When human mind poses many a question driving into serious introspection, it leads one to new vistas, greater realms of conscious evolution. …And here he declares, surrendering all his actions at Him, praying ‘heart-fully’ for greater unity, universal brotherhood, Peace n’ Love for Samastha Lokas… all the worlds… a poetic expression from a Punaikar, Sri Sudarshan Nasery.

When I serve, do I serve?
Whom do I serve?
What’s being served?
Why is it being served?
Seva… is it?
Or ego being flared?
Who of us really serves?
…and who really receives?
Whom do we attribute the merit of the deeds?
How is this going to transform us either way?
Will this act of mine be pleasing to my Lord???

These are some questions that,
My ‘mind’ pops at ‘me’,
When every time I plunge in,
In Seva, in my town.
I know not if,
Doer am I,
Or am I the receiver…?
Receiver of the food being served?
Am I the one giving,
Warmth through blankets?
Or do I receive the warmth of their,
Grateful greets?
Must I owe it to my hands and wit for
being ‘servicefull’?
Or must I owe it to my Godhood…?
Who made me so purposeful?
If Universal Mother feeds us all,
Why then I take a role to be,
Feeder for a day?
In Whose Cosy Lap,
Do the destitutes lay?
Would he not receive his bread,
If I miss him out on the street?
Will the Lord not take care of him,
If him, humanity doesn’t greet?

[media id="I2" type="image" mediahost="http://www.sssbpt.org/images/2015/" url="LoveForLove.jpg"]

Poverty Of Love,
Is The Goal to blow!
Thirst Of Love,
Is The Aim to quench!
And The Lord Of Love,
Is The Source of our strength,
World full of Selfless Love,
Is what He Divinely resolved!
Love For Love!!!
Love when shared,
Makes the Seva come true,
To the hearts of my brethren,
It does glue!
Puppets just learn,
When the Master pulls chords,
The Brotherhood of man,
Under Fatherhood of God!

Grace me, my Lord!
With Thy work for Thy own clan,
Let these hands be Thine my Lord!
And let Thine be the plan!
May the body bruise,
In Your service and fade,
Never ever name of this,
Silly body parade!
Let my Seva be so subtle,
As the rosy breeze of smiling rose!
Right hand works through but,
The left knows not!

May my everything please Thee my Lord!
And, may all the worlds…
May ‘Samastha Lokas’ soak in Thy Love!
Her knowledge appeared artless and elementary,
However, the gilded pages of history,
Are adorned with her deep understanding,
Care, concern and sympathy,
Her unconditional surrender, her unpretentious harmony,
Thus so was she selected as the Mother of Sathya,
The Mother of Truth Incarnate,
Her Son was the Personification of Dharma,
Shanti, Prema and so too Ahimsa,
Indeed unique is Eashwaramma…the Amma Of SaiEashwara…

A lady simple and rustic,
Unassuming and basic,
Totally unaware of the role that awaited her…
…as vast as Her Son to be…was cosmic…

She was referred to as Namagiriamma,
…soon she entered into wedlock with Pedda Venkamma,
From the Raju family,
Residing at Puttaparthi…
Her father-in-law rechristened her Eashwaramma…
Whether wittingly or unwittingly,
Judiciously or intuitively…
…future events enveloped with the beauty of divinity…
…went on to prove,
He did so quite ably and aptly,
For as time gently flowed by,
She became enceinte…
…with the celestial embrace of a divine light,
That held the hues of heavenly blue,
Whereby,
…following the gestation period,
She gave birth to a bonny and cherubic ‘little’ Sathya Sai…

What can one say about the Mother the Lord chose,
The soil of Puttaparthi echoes and reechoes,
Innumerable anecdotes,
Charming and touching and ever so full of learning…
Supportive and kind and filled with innate empathy,
A Mother to all…she explicitly felt and expressed,
Each devotee’s agony,
She had the blessed knack,
To treat one and all as a member of her family,
Sans reservations and distinctions,
Exuding the simplistic warmth of a loving connection…

Her nobility and compassion truly one of a kind,
Her loving nature refreshingly refined,
Thus was she chosen as Mother to the Advent Divine,
A wondrous assignment the Lord did her consign,
Especially for such a role her being had been customized…
… and further divinized,
With the blessings and grace of the Supreme Being – Parameashwara,
Eashwaramma glided towards centre stage…
…as His Amma…the Amma of SaiEashwara…

Oh! Mother Eashwaramma…Amma of SaiEashwara,
We bow down to you most lovingly…
Oh! Mother Eashwaramma,
We seek your generous blessings most earnestly,
Bless us to be as genuine as you proved yourself to be,
You captivated the Lord’s heart most stirringly,
Beyond the hypocrisy of degrees, power and position,
Your ethical knowledge, awareness and understanding,
Shone through your sympathy, sincerity and simplicity…
Bless us, dear Mother, on this day we implore you,
To so attract the Lord with dedication true,
With selfless deeds…thoughts and words too,
Bless us with knowledge true that surpasses material learning,
Bless us with the wisdom of kind ways…
…devoid of cumbersome delays…
…so we may be more deserving,
Bless us with love that embraces all beings as kith and kin,
Bless us even as we strive to journey within,
Bless us that we may respect another’s dignity,
Bless us with the boon of Thy purity…
To view all as divine…bless us with that affinity,
Surrender to His will and that exclusive harmony of amity,
Bless us that we may live to please Him solely,
Our Beloved Lord, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba,
Bless us so…enable us to draw Him close and near,
Bless our endeavour for divine occurrences to recur,
Bless us with that ambrosia…
Of the darshan of Easwarinandanan…of Parthieshwara,
We pray Thee, grant us this cherished nectar,
Oh! Most noble Eashwaramma…Mother of God most high…
…of Sathya Sai,
Upon us this mighty boon kindly do confer…
So saying, we offer our adorations and salutations unto Thee…
Oh! Most loving Mother Eashwaramma…
…Beloved Amma of SaiEashwara…
